With Breakdown Home Start cover you can relax knowing we’ll get you going from your driveway or within one mile from where you live – or recover you to a garage of your choice as long as it is within a 25 mile radius.

What is breakdown cover at home?

Breakdown cover at home (also known as ‘home rescue’ or ‘home start’) means we’ll come to your rescue if you break down on your doorstep or within 1 mile of your home. For example, with a flat tyre, flat battery or your car simply will not start. Covermy Breakdown will always try to fix your vehicle at the location so you can get moving straight away. Or if we can’t, we’ll tow you to a garage for repair (within a 25 mile radius).

With our Local Cover and National Cover, you’re only covered if you break down at least 1 mile from home.

It’s more of a common problem then you may think. A large number of vehicle breakdowns occur at home, normally due to a flat battery or during a cold winter snap the engine won’t start. Including home cover to your breakdown cover can be a smart move.

Once you have bought your breakdown cover, you can call us 24/7 and we’ll send a patrol to your home address. 

When we arrive, we’ll try to get you up and running to save you a trip to the garage. But if that’s not possible, we’ll offer you a tow to a garage to get a repair.

We can even help you out if your tyre is flat, blown or punctured. We can replace the wheel for you either by using your spare tyre or by sourcing a mobile tyre fitter for you. Failing that we will take you to your nearest garage to get the tyre replaced.
