Plugging in for your commute to work or whilst lazing around by the pool on holiday is a common sight now. We all love to shut ourselves away and listen to our favourite beats or watch our favourite programmes in complete solitude.
Headphones have become an integral part of our daily lives. If you want to escape from the outside world, eliminate the noise around you. They can be just as an expensive investment as a phone though and as precious. So, it is important to make sure your favourite accessories are protected also.
At CoverMy we have built our Gadget Insurance with this in mind and we have included cover for your accessories. If your gadget claim is approved, we will replace any accessories that were lost, stolen or damaged at the same time as your gadget up to a maximum value of £150. Proof of purchase for the accessories will be required along with any claim.

If your gadget is accidentally lost or stolen and is used fraudulently, we will reimburse you for the costs up to a maximum value of £500 upon receipt of your itemised bill. This is in addition to the policy limit stated on your schedule of insurance.
If you lose your mobile phone or tablet we will provide a replacement item up to the policy limit.
If your gadget is stolen we will provide a replacement item up to the policy limit. Where only part or parts of your gadget have been stolen, we will only replace that part or parts.
If your claim is approved, we will replace any accessories that were lost, stolen or damaged at the same time as your gadget up to a maximum value of £150. Proof of purchase for the accessories will be required. This is in addition to the policy limit stated on your schedule of insurance.
We will pay the costs of repairing your gadget as a result of accidental damage. Repairs will be carried out using readily available parts. Where possible we will use original parts but in some cases, unbranded parts may be used.
In the event that any repairs authorised by us under this policy invalidate your manufacturer’s warranty, we will repair or replace your gadget for the remaining period of your manufacturer’s warranty in line with your manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions.
If your gadget cannot be economically repaired then a replacement Item will be provided up to the policy limit.
Your device is covered for repairs and replacements which are a direct result of damage caused by liquid. Each claim will be up to your policy limit.

Your gadget is covered for up to 90 days in total worldwide in any 12 month period of cover. Replacement or repair can only be dealt with once you are back in the UK.
Yes, we will need an original receipt and any other documentation required to prove your device was purchased as new in the UK directly from a manufacturer, network provider or retail store (high street or online) OR purchased as refurbished in the UK direct from the manufacturer or network provider. This must show the date of purchase, make, model, IMEI/Serial number of your device.
Yes, there is an excess fee applied every time you make a claim. You can select what you want your excess level to be as you go through and build your cover.
Our cover is instant. As soon as you have paid your cover will start on the date you have selected the policy to start from.
We understand that you need your device replaced as quickly as possible. That is why we aim to have a replacement device in your hands within 48 hours of a claim being approved.
We will provide a gadget of the same age and condition and specification (we cannot guarantee that it will be the same colour as the original gadget) or, if not available, one of comparable specification or equivalent value taking into account the age and condition of the original gadget. For clarity, this is not a ‘new for old’ policy and the replacement item can be a new or refurbished item of equivalent specification.
