FirstVet is an independent digital veterinary service that offers video consultations to pet owners for advice and guidance on your pets – wherever you are.
Our team of experienced vets is on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year providing online vet advice and triage to owners and their pets. If you are looking for an emergency vet near you, or you need to speak to a vet now, you can book an appointment in minutes through our app.
We provide advice and simple suggestions for things that you can do at home to help your pet. Our vets are here to help with all your pet health questions and symptoms, such as vomiting, diarrhoea, skin problems, first aid, nutrition and behaviour.
If your pet needs to visit a vet clinic for an examination or treatment, then you will be directed to your registered vet. If you do not have a registered practice, our vets will help you to find your nearest open veterinary clinic.
Create an account with your email address and mobile phone number. Check and update your pet's details in your account. As a CoverMy Pet customer, your video calls with FirstVet vets will be free. After you have registered your pets, download the FirstVet app in the App Store or Google Play using your registration details to sign in.
Select the pet you want to book a video call for. Check that their details are correct. Describe their symptoms and choose a time that suits you. You can upload pictures prior to the call if it will make it easier for the vet to assess your pet's condition. What can FirstVet help with?
We will send you a text message just before your call with the vet is scheduled to start. Log in to the FirstVet app on your phone or tablet. Our vets are always UK registered, with a minimum of three years post-qualification clinical experience. Learn more about the FirstVet vets here.
FirstVet vets can help you solve your pet's health issues through simple at-home treatment recommendations. If your pet needs further treatment in a physical veterinary clinic we can help you find the best one in your area, and provide detailed clinical notes as part of the referral.
